A Debate Competition on "Indian Penal Code
vs. Bhartiya Dand Sanhita, 2023" was held on 14th August 2024, providing a
platform for participants to critically analyse and discuss the differences
between the two legal frameworks. S.Y.LL.B. and T.Y. LL.B. students
participated in this competition. The
event featured engaging debates where participants highlighted the strengths
and limitations of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the newly introduced
Bhartiya Dand Sanhita, 2023, focusing on aspects such as legal reforms,
effectiveness, and societal impact
The Law College is a self-financed one and was set up in the year 1997 offering a three-year degree course of LL.B. (General); and since November 2001 the LL.B. (Special) degree course is also being offered. At present, the total student strength of the college is 305.
